Privexa Secure Encrypted USB drive

Connect the USB drive to a compatible Windows computer and open VeraCrypt. Select the encrypted volume, choose an available drive letter, enter your password and mount the protected storage.

Once unlocked, the encrypted volume appears in Windows like a regular drive. You can open, save, transfer and organize files normally.

When finished, dismount the encrypted volume through VeraCrypt and safely eject the USB drive. Its protected contents become inaccessible again until the correct password is entered.

Actual usable capacity will be lower than the advertised capacity because of formatting, encryption configuration and the way storage capacity is calculated.

The USB 3.0 interface provides sequential read performance of up to 150MB/s when connected to compatible hardware. This helps reduce waiting time when opening or transferring documents, photographs, videos and other files.

Actual performance may be lower and depends on the computer, USB port, selected capacity, file sizes, encryption settings and other operating conditions. Write speeds are lower than the maximum advertised read speed and can vary.

The drive is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports but will operate at slower USB 2.0 speeds.

The drive features a compact metal casing designed to handle normal everyday transportation and use. Its small size makes it easy to carry in a pocket, bag or secure storage case.

The metal casing can become warm during extended or intensive use. This can be normal for a compact high-speed flash drive.

You create your own private encryption password during setup. Privexa does not need to know or retain that password.

VeraCrypt does not provide a traditional “forgot password” recovery option. If your password is forgotten and no recovery information exists, the encrypted files may become permanently inaccessible.

Customers are responsible for securely remembering their password and maintaining separate backups of important files.

A USB-C adapter is not included. The drive uses a standard USB Type-A connector.

VeraCrypt requires a software driver to mount encrypted volumes on Windows. Administrator permission may be required when VeraCrypt has not previously been installed.

The drive may not be usable on restricted workplace, school, hotel or public computers where software installation and administrator access are unavailable.

Use with USB-C-only computers requires a compatible USB-A-to-USB-C adapter. Compatibility with mobile phones, tablets, televisions, gaming consoles and other non-Windows devices is not guaranteed.

Encryption helps protect the information stored on the USB drive while the VeraCrypt volume is dismounted. It cannot protect files while the encrypted storage is unlocked or when the computer itself is compromised.
