Privexa Secure Internal M.2 SSD

After the M.2 NVMe SSD is installed inside a compatible computer, open VeraCrypt and select the encrypted volume. Choose an available drive letter, enter your password and mount the protected storage.

Once unlocked, the NVMe SSD appears in Windows like a regular storage drive. You can open, save, transfer and organize your files normally.

When finished, dismount the encrypted volume through VeraCrypt. The drive becomes inaccessible again and its stored contents remain encrypted until the correct password is entered.

This SSD is intended to function as an additional protected storage drive. It does not include Windows and is not configured as the computer’s primary operating-system drive.

Your computer continues to start from its existing Windows drive. The Privexa Secure M.2 NVMe SSD becomes available separately after it is unlocked and mounted through VeraCrypt.

The drive may not appear as a usable storage location in File Explorer while the encrypted volume is dismounted.

Actual usable capacity will be lower than the advertised capacity because of formatting, encryption configuration and the way storage capacity is calculated.

The SSD uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe interface to provide faster performance than traditional SATA storage. Its compact, single-sided M.2 2280 design is suitable for many compatible desktops and laptops.

Reaching the advertised maximum speed requires a compatible PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 NVMe slot. Computers using an older or slower PCIe interface will operate at the maximum speed supported by that system.

Actual performance may be lower and depends on the selected capacity, motherboard, processor, PCIe configuration, file sizes, encryption settings, temperature and other operating conditions.

You create your own private encryption password during setup. Privexa does not need to know or retain that password.

VeraCrypt does not provide a traditional “forgot password” recovery option. If your password is forgotten and no recovery information exists, the encrypted files may become permanently inaccessible.

Customers are responsible for securely remembering their password and maintaining separate backups of essential files.

An M.2 connector does not automatically guarantee compatibility. Some M.2 slots support PCIe NVMe drives, while others support only M.2 SATA drives or different physical drive sizes.

This is an M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD and is not compatible with SATA-only M.2 slots. Compatibility with your computer or motherboard must be confirmed before ordering.

Some computers have only one M.2 slot. If that slot is already occupied by the primary Windows drive, an additional M.2 SSD may not be supported.

Encryption helps protect the information stored on the SSD while the VeraCrypt volume is dismounted. It cannot protect files while the encrypted drive is unlocked or when the computer itself is compromised.
